OK Phil, here's my opinion on this.

As I go back and read this entire thread, I come across a disturbing post. After I ask if anyone wants to buy this TB because it won't work on my car, you jump in and post "Is it sending you into Safe Mode?"

"Safe Mode" Phil? What are you talking about?

Apparently you've had difficulties getting this to work on YOUR car and you were happy to get rid of it. At my expense. You got a PERFECT SCT XCAL2 with no flaws, no problems and virtually pristine and I got something that you hint in THIS thread was a pain in the @ss for your car?

Bro, if you had told me BEFORE we traded you had problems with this thing, I NEVER would have agreed to a trade, whether it was my idea or not. I expected you to be forthcoming about the part, not letting me find out here in this thread about "Safe Mode" problems.

And your crack about how I should have done my homework is stupid. Just how was I suppose to find out YOU had problems with this part? Waterboard you? Why didn't you tell me you couldn't get it to work? Would YOU have traded if I told you I couldn't get the XCal to work? Hell no!

I'm going to ask you once, as a GENTLEMAN, to trade these two parts back. No harm, no foul and I will still fix your fiberglass hood for you.

I guess you could say "Too bad, so sad and it sucks to be you" and "You should have asked me if I had problems with it". You know what? I'll take the blame and say you're right. I should have drilled you for answers for twenty minutes until I was satisified there were no "Safe Mode" or "Failsafe" issues and that i wouldn't have any CELs with this part. But I trusted you. OK, I messed up. My Bad. But I'm asking you as a gentleman to undo this and make things right.

I sold a set of Nissan 300ZX wheels to a guy about 6 weeks ago. I made it very clear in my ad what the bolt pattern was, rim size, offset and ALL the necessary info. This Mexikan guy bought them. I asked if he ahd any questions and he said no. He emailed me 3 hours later and said they wouldn't fit his car.

I could have been an @sshole and said "Sorry, you should have done your homework" but I didn't. People make mistakes or they forget to ask something or whatever. I gave him his money back and he returned the wheels. I sold them the very next day to someone else who was happy with them. Did I HAVE TO? No. But I felt it was the right thing to do.

If you choose not to "untrade", then please sell this stupid useless paperweight for me. I said "sell", not "get rid of" as you did. The asking price is $300, that's what I had the SCT on Craigslist for. And please hurry, I need the cash to get MY new hood painted. And please tell the buyer what you DIDN'T tell me. Tell them it'll throw you into "Fail Safe" mode (whatever that is....) and then see if they STILL want to buy it? Obviously no one here at WS is going to buy it now that they know it causes issues.

No wonder you were so quick to trade!

This is why we dont do business with Family or friends. The T.B worked on my car but sent it into safe do to the fact that my mass air is too big and I dont have enough fuel to make it work right. These are used on S/C cars as I told you to get more air into the engine and you have the biger injectors as well as piggy back fuel pump that you need to make the car not lean out or what ever it is doing to my car. It ran perfectly till I would mash the gas and let up and mash the throttle again opeing it for a second time. I will be buying a new thottle body as soon as they get rid of there drive by wire set up. The guy I picked th ehood up from had the BBK T.B on his car with S/C and Nos. The guy I bought my X-pipe from had long tunbes, T.B, and a S/C he is the one who told me how to set it up for mine but it will just not work casue it leans mine out. If you have a Auto car they work much better cause your RPM does not fall off as quick as mine does, and you don't drive your car like I drive mine. I will trade you back as you have asked. I will just put it for sale as well as my tuner for sale to get the SCT. I am glad I checked the site though tonight because I was going to erase everything in the tuner and send off to SCT for my new tune to be written into the SCT. I will just deal with my Diablo. If I have to I will have my buddy program my car back in Saint Louis like I originaly planed. Just use the money from the body work on hood to buy one new of my own. I didnt want to leave a bad taste in your mouth about the trade. Both parts where of equal value. If you want to learn more about safe mode take a screw driver out to your car and unsrew the intake where your car is getting its air.. ( CAI ) push the gas and your check engine light will come on this is safe mod. It saves the car if it is running lean or any other problem that may accur... Its just like a check engine light coming on but it shuts down fuel system to keep the car safe from operating. The older cars didnt have this that his how people fried pistons or blew them out of block. New Technology for stangs

Whenever is a good time for you will be fine. I have therapy on Thursday and a meeting tomorrow night but other than that, anytime is good.

And yes, I will still fix your hood.
