Well while I'm waiting for the converter situation to take its course I have decided that this car will never see street duty again and it was time to go on a diet. Other than the weight savings that I already have.......Tubular K-member and A-arms, Manual rack, No accessories on driverside, Aluminum radiator, No pass. seat, Aluminum DS, Aluminum heads, etc, etc.

Today I pulled the front bumper (hope I don't crash), Heater core, some wring, All of the pass. side vent tubing, front dash speakers, center counsel, AC/Heat switch panel, windshield wipers, and antenna.
All of this was thrown on a scale in boxes and added up to grand total of 55lbs!

Next time out I will be taking out some sound deadening, carpet cushion, door speakers, rear speakers, rear seats, seat belts, Drivers side venting, some more wiring, Drivers seat will eventually be swapped for race seat, and diff will be replace by spool shortly. All of that should offset the 6 point roll bar that I will be needing.

No I'm keeping all of the interior in the car. I still like it to look decent inside. Don't want the gutted ricer look. My interior was painted by me anyway, it was originally gray.

I have a correction on the weight total. I forgot to weigh the radio, amp and arm rest because they were out of the car before today. That takes the total to 67lbs!

Pics added. After I vacuum the carpet that should be another 5lbs. LOL
I'm going to fab some sheet metal to go where the AC/heat control were and install 3 more gauges.

I was just being lazy. The pics give a better idea of how much was taken out. There is still alot of weight to be saved with the rest that I'm gonna take out, but I think the maximum motorsport 6 point bar is like 75lbs.

6's here you come!!!!!!!!!!

Lets not get carried away here. Rule is every 100lbs can save .1 in the 1320". Plus like I said I'm going to add 75lbs. It won't see 6's until I squeeze some juice out of it.
