i just put 275 in the rear but the rear right hits my back tire and its shredding it so i can only guess i need new shocks right? would it guarantee that its not gonna hit anymore or maybe i need to raise it anybody know or dealt with the same problem???

my tire sticks out alot from the rear,it berely hits, but its rare when it does, well i just installed new shocks and springs..how old are your shocks? that might be the problem, were your springs heated or cut? don't know much bout this im just taking a guess

I would do like the guys said and check suspension, and maybe roll the fenders at same time. One of the older members VP had 315's on rear of his car. There is no reason a 285 should rub

mine rub too....i recoment rolling fenders first....also you can get those rubber peices you put inside the coils of your spring to make them not compress. i had to do that om my left side when i poped the airbag.

?? the thick ones that hold the coils apart dont stop it from compressing?? y not...i think were tlaking about 2 different things

i know what your talking about... you insert them between the coils and twist them with a wrench to set them in place. its a fix but definatly not the best fix. i'm tempted to find a set of air shocks to put on my car like i used to have on my firebird... dunno if that would help the ride at all or racing but its convienent.

the club is trying to get the money together to buy a fender roller so we can use wider tires in the back without rubbing. Chip in 20 bucks and you can use it lol
