What will be the main selling point of the trade? Your coupe looks to be in great shape. Coupes are becoming harder to find everyday. This GT doesn't look bad, however there is nothing on it that is high dollar. 5.0's are a dime a dozen at the local yards. "Foxman" just did the swap, so all of the info is here and readily available. I know it didn't cost him a great deal of money either.

I say keep the coupe and do the 5.0 / 5.8 swap. You will be happier in the end. Then again I'm a bit biased cause I love me a nice built coupe :)

Just my $.02

I agree with Orange as well. You're not into that car thousands of dollars. Try to hang on to it. Get yourself a nice donor car and let the parts start swapping!

I would do it... these car are so cheap to fix... as long as the body is straight i would do the trade! 4cyl mustang are not worth anything.... no matter how clean... you will all ways get more money for a ok shape 5.0 but you wont get **** for a clean 4cyl

Who said anything about keeping it a 4cyl.? Plus who buys a fox for it's selling value? We buy these cars to mod the **** out of them and then drive the hell out of em when we are done! (which we never are!).

You just did this to your own car and you seem to be super happy that you did. Now you say not to do it? I'm confused!

i did it because i didnt have the money to buy a 5.0.. i got lucky on my conversion finding a vert that had a good motor that the owner that was in very bad shape.. If i could have traded my 4cyl for a 5.0 i would have...

If he likes his coupe then he should keep it and find a donor car.. if he wants a hatch i would trade.. converting to a 5.0 is a lot of work when.... he has the option to trade for a 5.0... if it is some what clean i would do the trade..

the conversion isn't hard.. But when all you have to do is trade pinks.. verses pulling two cars apart... i would do the trade

dont get me wrong... if he wants a project of swapping parts i say go for it! i did have a lot of fun doing it

the only problem about that idea... is those 4cyl dont have enough power to hurt them selves... the damn things run forever! the ignition DIS module will melt before the engine blows LOL!
