Ok, guys we had a 25lb turkey and the juices were flowing over the side. The entire house was engulfed in smoke first. Then when GT500Dreamer went to open the oven to investigate we had a reflash the flames shot out and seared his eye brows and nose hairs.. :rofl: That is when I took action and went into Navy Seal Mode.. The kids were yelling stop drop and roll... Monica first reaction was Ninja kick the Oven Door Shut.. I secured power and extinguished by eliminating air supply and smothering the fire and not by using water. :) 1WKDRSH and LYNCHMOB were so scared they could only stand back and film....... Pictures coming soon:) It was a minor set back and turkey was a little brown but, came out delicious.... A little bit of advice buy a bigger Turkey Pan:)

Glad nobody was hurt.

Ok what really happened was Monica was in the kitchen cooking Lynch was helping because thats where he belongs. Emilio was alrdy passed out after his 2 beers. GT500Dreamer was plaing world of warcraft. The house started to fill with smoke Monica grabbed the kids ran outside thru the back door, gt500dreamer did open the stove and flames shot out burnt his eye brows. Emilio woke up from lynch's screaming like a little girl and grabbed his cell phone ran out the front door while calling 911. I was on my computer (wickedstangs website) ran into the kitchen pulled the turkey out of the oven while flames were all over it. and put the fire out. This all happened within a couple minutes but seemed like an eternity at the time.

Ok, here's my recollection of the events as they transpired.....

Vanessa runs up to me and says, "mom, the turkey is smoking"! I ran downstairs to find the kitchen and living room engulfed with smoke. I opened the oven, and then all of a sudden a SMALL flame ignites. GT500 Dreamer comes over, bends down and tries to blow out the flame like a birthday candle. Well, apparently the extra oxygen feed the fire and flames shot out about 3ft from the front and about a ft from the back. Kids start screaming, "stop-drop-and roll". GT500 leaps back (with a few seared facial hairs), grabs the kids and runs out the back door. I heard more screams, but not sure where they were coming from.... I back kick the oven door shut, then Emilio jumps out of nowhere (i think from behind the couch) to turn off the oven, while 1WKROUSH and LYNCHMOB are crawling on the floor on their bellies heading towards the backdoor. I waited a few minutes to watch for more flames, but the fire put itself out (most likely due the lack of oxygen). Turkey bag melted, but luckily did not stick to the turkey. Dinner was saved!

As I remember it....

mrswickedstangs was investigating the source of smoke from the oven. It appeared that the 25lbs. turkey was in a 23lbs. pan. A mistake that wickedstangs made, I am sure. While the turkey juice already on the oven bottom continued to smoke, it eventually burst into flames. The ensuing fire caused the pan to boil over and spill even more fuel on the fire. wickedstangs, being the vigilant man of the house, was picking his nose and doing something with the front window. 1WKDRSH and LYNCHMOB were rolling around on the floor in a semi-homosexual wrestling match, and the kids were running around doing what all good kids should be doing, yelling at the top of their lungs. Before the pan boiled over, I tried to blow the flames out, but just as I began my heroic effort, the oven became a cauldron of flames and blistering heat. I jumped back, so fast, that it appeared that I had been injured. Of course I was not, and proceeded to begin the evacuation of the house. wickedstangs, in his infinite wisdom, turned the oven off as mrswickedstangs went all Jackie Chan on the oven door. By now there is so much smoke in the house, you couldn't see across the kithcen. If I hadn't gotten the kids out when I did, they may have contracted breathing problems that would have plagued them for the rest of their lives. Everyone is lucky that I was there...

That is my story.... :wtf::questionmark::questionmark::questionmark:
