smog equipment

so...i got my car taken apart and i was going to fix the exhaust leak (some silicone where the header and the x-pipe meet) and i am looking at it and wondering what the **** the guy i bought it from was thinking. there are wires running all over that arent connected to anything and my engine bay looks like shit. so i was thinking, if i were to get rid of the smog equipment that isnt doing anything that it might look a little cleaner, but i am not sure if this would affect the drivability of my car. a lot of it isnt hooked up anyway so what the hell right? anyone know?

post pics off what you wnt to take off.. if your thinking smog pump the first thing to deal with is the Sep. Belt if it is already disconnected take it off... just dont un plug any connectors unless you know what it is!

Clean engine is a happy engine, that what i have always said!

then agian everyone i have blown up were super clean LOL!

i cant get pics right now, but its not the pump, because then i would need a new belt, but there are some hoses running off of the pump that i wanted to remove. and then there is a plastic box on the passenger side of the engine bay that has 2 caps on it with some numbers around them. i have no idea what is it, but if its not doing anything, then i want to get rid of it......

ok so remove the smog pump and plug any holes in the lines that you take off... remove EGR...I'm pretty sure you will have a engine light agian.... but im not positive... I know there are kits to remove the smog pump...basic idler pulley, but i dont know if you can just get a smaller belt... do you stillw ant the A/C.... remove that shit to!

do you have a maf? i bet it will run alot better.... just dont for get to cap EVERYTHING! even if you thin it doesnt need to be! you can just leave the pump there i believe.... just disconnect all the hoses...

you dont need bigger injectors till you do a cam.... if you do like a E B or F303 cam all you need is 24lbs injector

trust me they will look fine

with the bottle im not oing to run anything bigger then a 255 60 15! 26" tall 9.5" wide

it looks like you have a full size truck tire on there.... the size i gave you will have the side wall still taller then the front.... just not so squeazed on! 60 is 60% of the wide.... just remember that when buying..... if you run a 60's tire on anything wider then a 215 its going to have a taller sidewll. you could go down to a 245 55 15 and it would probably be the same hieght as the front... and with a smaller tire you will get quicker acceleration with the smaller tire!

i like it squeezed in there. lol....as i said, i will be getting some slicks for the track and going fast, but for putting around town i am going to leave these on there. may not be the stickiest, but they look cool
