guys ive been looking at this thing and am interested. anyone know anything about it? 70hp $439.00. is it worth it?

Stage 2 MAF Boost Cooler™

This kit uses the 0 to 5 Volt output signal from the Mass Air Flow sensor on many fuel injected vehicles. This means that any vehicle with a MAF (with a 0-5V output signal) can use this kit, whether they are naturally aspirated or forced induction. If the application is forced induction, it can be used with very fast-spooling turbos, or positive displacement blowers. It is easier to set up with the positive displacement blowers with a MAF signal because it is more progressive in nature vs. the boost pressure signal on those applications. This allows for the most accurate injection possible over the widest range. The result is the most power and driveability possible. Now with Lifetime Warranty - please see details.

Kit includes:

• 150+ PSI High Volume Pump
• 2 Quart Reservoir
• Digital Variable Controller
• 2 Nozzles To Cover a Wide Range of Horsepower
• All Required Hardware Needed For Installation
• Comprehensive Instructions

i dunno, i am up in the air about this, its cool, it just sucks that you have to fill it up, and its not always there, ya know.

I gotta fill up my gas tank...
Phil has to fill his N02 tank...
We all have to fill something.

I have looked at these for awhile now and wondered about them as well. If it can be precisely timed when needed, it should be great. Like having an intercooler without all the big tube plumbing.

Yes and no. It depends on how it is setup. The advertised gains you only see due to retuning. The added hp and/or tq gains from the Meth injection itself is very minimal, if at all, depending on your combination, however what it does do is allow you to tune more aggressively to achive more power while you inject the meth mix, all the while still retaining pump fuel.

I see it as a pro and a con. It does work, don't take me wrong. (In fact I have a brand new kit in the box that I purchased, but I never installed it and will sell it now only because I decided on another route to keep my intake temps cool). But it takes a new tune to get more power and depending on how often and much you drive, the type of driving you do, and how you control your injection all depends on how often you have to refill your mix. Then the cost of the meth, you can buy it straight from Snow and it is pre mixed 49/51% iirc, but it is more expensive than buying it elsewhere and mixing it on your own.

Hope that helps a little. FFS

The way I read it, like you said, is it allows you to be a lot more agressive with your tune and boost since this is keeping the temp down. and helping with detonation

I think what scares me is the guy in the magazine article about this product. He's wearing a lab coat and the name on the coat is "Kid Death".

Not great for publicity.

maybe a wot switch or something where it only kicks in at wide open throttle.

The stage 2 Maf controller is deisnged where you program it to activate, or inject/spray at a precise Maf voltage, (ie: 3.25 maf volts), which would be near 3/4-7/8 throttle. FFS

My intentions to buying my kit(s) was for the added safety against detonation via the extremely cool IATs. I was going to tune without it, (in a sense), and only have it spray under WOT for the added security, but no more aggressive tuning without it, that way if the pump ever failed or the meth ran out during a WOT blast, I wouldn't need to be too concerned.

If you have a forced induction setup, this really helps with cooling IATs very dramtically, but if your N/A (or 90% of n/a vehicles) I do not think it is worth the money.

If anyone is interested I have one NIB kit for sale cheap and know of two more kits NIB for sale cheap as well. Much better pricing than you can find anywhere else. FFS

will put you close to the 500rwhp range depending on tune, thats what i wanna do, and get a ported blower as well...but i might just save for a kb instead.

i was reading about it and the system needs a discharge pressure of 50psig so it atomizes right. windshield washer fluid is like 42%methanol but has glucose or something like that in it but its almost all water methanol.

I read up on them a little and what I got out of it is that its kinda like nos you can have it open at diffrent RPM's ect I would say go for it if you want it has to help out. Think about most cold air units if your not using ram air then your actually getting hot air right? Well this insures that the air is cool. There is another old hot rod tech. out there its called a coolcan you can get alot of diffrent brands. Moroso has one it makes your fuel 20% cooler and gives a denser air fuel ratio. IT really works on older hot rods. You run your fuel lines through it and you can put ice or dry ice in there to cool your fuel lines. Hope this helps
