so ws bored and whent out for a drive

i was chilling at home trying to study for my mid term test tomorrow but wasn't working out so then i went to a friends house and we decided to drive on the 8 east and see were it goes lol so we staid on the 8 all the way to sunhighway exit which is 4000+elevation it got dark at 4:30pm over there and heavy fog and lil rain made the drive all that more fun we drove around the mountains for a lil and then saw some really cool place were they sell steak. oh and i filled up on gas there lol you wont believe how much gas was 2.89 for 91 2.65 for 89 and 2.45 for 87 wow expensive lol but really worth the drive. so here is my idea we should have a wickedstangs cruise up there, what you guys think maybe with in a week or two before it snows there!!!

I drive out that way all the time. I work out in that area. BTW, the 8 will take you into Arizona in case you still wonder where the 8 will take you.

if you keep going, its more fun. There are turns and long straightaway once you pass the mountains. It is a nice little drive.

i did at around 4:00pm and it was dark so i recomand we leave at 10:00am drive about 100 miles or more and then stop at a place and eat and then come back

Sorry you've never been up there. Many places, many roads to explore. Try going down to the desert. It is the best!

I go out to El Centro every so often, sounds like a good cruise because there is a stretch of windy road before you get out of the mountains.

I drve the sunrise HWY before......Great drive. I would definately like to set up a club day to just have our guys run up there. No other clubs. We could meet at Dennys in El Cajon then drive out the 8. go up the sunrise HWY then into Julian for lunch. From Julian take the 79 all the way back to the 8 then to home. Would make a great day trip.

I did that drive before, but that was before my 'stangs day. I drove up sunrise when I had my truck. And it was a fun drive, I can imagine with the 'stang is that much more fun.
