Possibly. It really depends on getting room at my house. Depending on how this car goes and how much is needed to get it smoggable / running. I'd send your car straight to ecology though soon as i got parts off of it.

Edit: But yeah, I need another cheap (and running would be nice) car for insurance purposes.

And depending on the power this car puts out, maybe a drag car

stock when it was new was 225hp. 210 torque. since the exhaust HOLE is immense i can helptow it down to san diego. Smog wont be a problem.

So exhaust + rad fan and the car should run fine, as fine as an 89 can run. If I got it, I couldn't get you the money all at once, but I could get you 300 now, and then 200 on pickup.

Tomorrow I'm going to talk to my dad and see what he thinks. I know my older brothers work does a beater desert race every year where you have to use a car, and this looks like it would be an awesome vehicle for that, especially since the winner can buy any car for 100 bucks

Sik, If I purchased this, could I get the parts off your car and have ecology pick it up? I'd still give you the 100.

Edit: HMM! Looking at it, Could I just cut off the exhaust and just run straight pipes? Or will that screw up the compression? I'm not worried about smog anymore, I'm thinking more desert toy

gosh we used to have one of these back in the late 90s. it was... interesting! the radio antenna was completely hidden in the roof/frame, and it got crappy reception. that's about all i remember about it!

Ok i got some info on this pile. I have no idea when it was last smogged. i bet in 08. Basically all my info that i knew has been cited and found wrong. the car was given to a wrecking yard. was totalled out. its basically just a parts car. unless someone wants to jump through the DMV Nazi hoops.
