im dun with my stock cobra motor, ive taken what i need off of it for my build and now its ready for a new home!!! theres nothing wrong with it at all, just wasnt up for the power i was requesting from it, so instead of abusing it until it gave, i decided to just replace it before any mods were done at all!!!! shes a true beast, like i said nothing wrong, still in great working order and a great starting point for any modular build. form what i understand what makes these motors so great is how theyre built, the internals are quite a bit stronger than a gts, and the block in and of its self is good for 2000 hp. change out the internals and you could have a true beast on your hands. before i started the build i had several offers for around 2 grand for the short block, regretably i had to turn down all these offers because the build hadnt even begun!!! so that is what im asking $2000. if you would like to come take a look at it you can pm me, and id be more than willing to help out in any way i can!!! or you can gimme a call, 614-499-8736

so what you are saying is that that block is good for 2000hp???? how much hp exactly are you demanding?? 600?? 650??? if it was good for 2000hp you should have kept it, swapped out the internals and have a 2000hp beast. oh and unless its a termi the internals are crap.
well, im not sayin nuthin about the internals, i really dont know too much about them!!! i know that they are stock and thats what i was worried about. i know that theyre not as strong as they could be so i decided to just buy a mmr 900!!! i didnt want to damage anything and quite honestly i dont have the know how or the tools to pull the internals and rebuild it myself!!! so the mmr 900 was the best way to go for me!! however i have heard great things about this block and i know that the entire motor is still in tip top shape and ready for a new home!!! i do agree with you though itd be an awsome starting place for a great build!!!
What all parts did you take off of the engine?

just because it isnt a termi doesnt mean the internals are crap!! that block is good for a 1000HP from what i hear... and it still has a Forged crank... good rods and hyputetic pistons... that motor can make 500 HP all day with no problems a good set of pistons and it is right up there with the termi DOHC... I wish you would have got the 2000 when you could of because with out cylinder heads i dont see you getting it...
yea, im just worried about the economy!!! i kinda knew that when i went in i may possibly lose some money, but the guys that offered knew that there would be no heads or acc to it, all they really wanted was that crank and the block!!! but any who, i guess ill take offers on it!!!! if any one can offer me a fair price ill go with it!!! as of now im getting ready to move and i just really need to move the thing, its taking u space my car is gonna go when i get the thing put all back together!!!

thank you thank you,,,, didnt get the two grand but one is better than nuthin,,, i sold it to fitz me and him are gonna rebuild it!!!! keep the crank and block and possibly stroke it!!!!! havnt talked to him in too much depth yet but i think hes got some wicked plans for this beast!!!
