MOVE ON!

I dunno how many special forces members we have here, but I just wonder how you guys NORMALLY exhibit great control in dealing with buffoons off duty or off base? Does the knowledge that you could incapacitate the fool in a split second, give you a funny as hell image in your brain and make ya chuckle. Or if the opportunity arises, do you give the fool a tiny little sample and then smile at them?
I think the "sample" method can be quite productive when used properly and properly evaluated beforehand, but most of the time the mental image is satisfying enough.

To tell you the truth, most of the time Special Forces guys get up and walk away. Loosing your security clearance over some idiot isn't worth it. But, if you just punch him square in the face and then walk away (never seen one get up) you get to make your point. If you end up at CO's Mast, you'll only get a slap on the wrist if you did not report the incident. If you report the incident immediately....those cases never get past the Master Chief.

Been working here three times and have seen it happen half a dozen times.

I think the only time I ever had to take drastic measures while on active duty was at the EM club on surface side in Pearl Harbor. Those four young grunts spent the night at Trippler and I got to laugh with the OOD.

Hey. My recommendation to you is just smile and move on. Getting in trouble over some idiot is not worth the time. However, if they threaten you, by all means take the necessary means to "defend" yourself. Also, use only what is necessary to incapacitate the fool. This way you won't get in trouble for using your training as excessive force. But yes, the visual picture you form in your head on what you can do to that idiot is quite funny and they will wonder what you are smiling at as they are running their lips.

You run into some fools?

Yeah...........some young punks this past weekend at the track. The race car was being a BITCH and wanting to blow tires as the second stage boost hit. I wasn't having a good day and just was not in a good mood. Two young punks were giving one of the owners of the car some crap, so I stepped in because he's pretty disabled with a bad back. I asked them to leave my pit area nicely, but the only gave me flack and they moved a bit closer to me. I smiled, smoothed my goatee with my weaker left hand(nerve damage from shrapnel) and chuckled out loud. I sorta backhanded the dork on my left in his larynx and grabbed the other by his throat at the larynx with my right before they knew WTF was up. I "persuaded" the one I had by the throat to the ground with his choking buddy and advised them to stay there. Two track officials then escorted them off the track.
I was happy, made an adjustment to a shock and my driver pulled off a better run.

That is funny......LMAO! I guess that is the last time they'll make "criticism" in the pit area. LOL! Good for you. But keep you emotion under control, not worth the trouble. It took me a while to learn that lesson. Almost got me to mast a few times when I was on active duty. But was saved.

Ya know Danny. It's hard as hell to shake your training. I'm just glad I listened in Coolhead 101 class!:rofl:

I did laugh at them both laying on the ground. I don't think they'll be confronting 50yr old guys too soon.:rock:

Great job. Most of the fools that come around talkin smack about the cars have no clue what it takes to build one, much less build one. Good job and maybe they will think twice about who they criticize next time. What did the track officials say to you? More info on this race car as well.

I'm well known at the track and help the manager with car counts by setting up events. The two guys are banned from the track. They started to give the manager some gruff, but he pointed to me a few pits down and said something, so they pulled their IDs out and gave him the info the wanted. It took all I had to not poll on the ground laughing.
The car that I crew on is Mark Lutton's old 05 Mustang. We've gone thru and made quite a few refinements and the WOMAN driver is only .02 off Mark's best run, but with a much less aggressive boost settings. Pretty dang good for a woman that only got her NHRA license this Feb.
We'll be at Vegas next week for the Street Car Nats..........IF I can get the car dialed this Sat, with smaller tires and more weight.

Oh, I know what you're talking about. It took me awhile to get those feelings under control. I used to be a hothead and it gotten me into trouble a few times and couple of times landed me in front of the old man. I'm just glad I'm at a job where I can unleash those trainings every now and then. LOL! But I can just visualize those blank looks from those two idiots. LMAO!

I made a comment that I would like to see a new 6.2 Raptor engine in a particular enginebay and a retard REPEATEDLY tried to tell me that it was a 6.1 engine and he saw it at PRI. NORMALLY I'd just laugh it off, but it only proceeded to inflame me because of third person that it was said in front of.:nonono:
