Well I am at 1 year out from PRD... I emailed the detailer yesterday and he called me today. Basically we went back and forth about how to get me to the east coast......IT ISNT GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS I GOTO IRAQ! Well that is not on my short list of things to do in the near future......10 years ago, I would have been all over it but not now....I am not saying I wont go if I have to. I am not going to volunteer at this point. Well, I threw out a hypothetical about transfer times and ships on the west coast. There are not very many out there that are going to be available when I come due for orders......The best fit is one in Pearl Harbor.....exact month and everything that I am due to rotate....I precomm'd the one before it so I know the way it is all setup and such......He said that since it is a direct transfer without schools, call in September when the billet opens if I want it and I can fill that one.

Looks like thatis gonna be where I am going to....Just got to make it all official later this year.

Yeah I know what you mean,but I will make the best of it.....I am not staying in San Diego unless I absolutely have to. I figure if they are gonna make me stay on the west coast, might as well bank some COLA out of it.......

Huge Huge paycut to come here but I wanted to come back to the states

**** SD nothing against yall i just like four seasons ans lighter vehicle rules. i feel yeah dave on the orders but i wanted something close to home(germany where the fam i stationed) i put in for germany and 4 italy so im happy 4 more days

I tried to go to Germany, but QM detailer wouldn't release me. Its useless having a GCCS NEC as a QM! I would love to go there, especially with my car!

Well look at it this way, it will cost airfare only to go on vacation to Hawaii......LOL I got a couch and stuff for people....LOL

Think all detailers should be AH's cause that's what they are:nonono: I took orders to this ship to finish out my sea time and mine started my sea counter from ZERO. I was and am sooo freaking mad.-Shane
