Exactly! I have some strong opinions about this port job and the company. They first came out with the GT500 Snake Bite porting and there was a LOT of controversy about it. If you go over to SVTPerformance at do a search, you can read about it. You find lots of my posts there as well.

In short, they claim a "patented" technique in how they are doing the porting, but yet they have no patent and they won't discuss what they are doing differently. And all that wouldn't be so bad, if the prices were in line with what anyone else would charge for a GOOD port job. Just like porting of heads, you are either really good at it or you are not. Good talented people get a "little" bit more money, but there is nothing that can be patented. Porting work is an Art Form. It is all about Talent.

They are just doing some really questionable marketing and the prices have not proven to justify it. They may be able to get away with this on some newb GT500 owners, but more experienced Termy owners might be a different story. We will see.

From what I have read they have a really good reputation. Alot of lightning guys recommend them. I personally would just go whipple or kenne bell. If your on a budget I would just save until you could afford one of those.

I do have the stage 5 + and was picked by them to get mine upgraded but I just couldnt see spending a G for 30 horses and an annoyingly loud blower.......

loud blowers are sexy!!! i love it when people tell me my alternator is going out lol. i just nod my head then i show them the wrath of the DSG lol.

They have a great reputation for doing good work and lots of people use them. I may even get my Roush done by them, but that doesn't take away the facts of this snake bite kit. No one, but a few "sponsored" customers have put these kits on to report back any actual numbers.

Just putting out there what I have seen. If someone wants to spend the money, have at it.
