Thanks for all replies. I had to cool off a day or two before I came back to the thread. A time out sort of speak.
I really see a lot potential the Q. But I also believe the days are numbered. I have been involved with race promoting and they are doing very little right. Depending on Government funds to keep this going is not very bright. You can't wait for the next Street Racing Fatality to bring more awareness and ultimately money.
If they were close to what a track needs to do and just couldn't make ends meet, I could see helping them, but this is just crazy. The security guard said "it must be canceled, they just never showed up to run the races".
I mean, one night I was there, they had a band that had never played before a crowd before. They were REALLY bad.
I hate to see any drag racing die off, I guess thats why it bugs me even more. San Diego is in bad need of a professional 1/4 mile track.
I will give Barona a try. It will be nice to race at a real track for a change.
How crowded is Barona? How many runs can you get in?
