Sturgis Mustang Rally 2010

This is a long way in the future, but figured for this type of driving event, people would want alot of time to plan for it.....

September 2nd-6th 2010.

Sturgis is having the 4th Mustang Rally. You all know about Sturgis Bike week, well they do it for Mustangs too!

If you have ever been to Sturgis, you will no doubt agree that the place is awesome! Lots of stuff to do, see, flash, whatever. Day road trips in that area are great.

I had a buddy in the navy that used to go to Sturgis every year on his Harley. He showed us some pictures and yep, looks like one big party. But my only concern is....will I come back alive? You know....*cough*my color?

Yeah, I know. I was just joking. Hell, I lived in Klantee for 2 years and I actually loved living there. I actually would like to get out to South Dakota for one of the Sturgis gathering in the future. This Mustangs meet is not beyond the realm of reality either. Just need to see what my vacation hours balance are like.

I'm up for it! Next week I have to put in for my 2010 vacation times and I will set those days aside. WOuld be nice to have a group of us to drive out there and represent.

Maybe this could be an annual meeting for the club members.....east and west meetup, cruise, drag race and have some beers together........ I am just saying all the hard work is done(Planning).

The Sturgis Best Western isnt too bad for the price. It is about a block or so from the Ford Dealership.....

I can't believe the Holiday Inn Express in that area was already sold out for those dates. The Best Western is approximately $50 a night (government/military rate). Does anyone know approximately how long it would take to drive out there? My guess would be two days.

since it is right on the interstate, that is a good stopping location for travelers. It is about a days drive from Butte MT or from Albert Lea MN so that makes the rapid city area a great stop......

Yes about 2 days to get there..... 1 day to Denver and another to Sturgis. But those are some long driving days. bout 15 hours to Denver.

Well 50 a night for that hotel is about right.....definately not a holiday inn or anything....just dont expect to have any mints on your pillow or a spotless room.....it is a basic room close to the Ford dealer in Sturgis.

For something like this all you need is a place to shower and crash

exactly.....imagine the things that have been done in those rooms during bike week....LOL 10 Hairy fat sweaty bikers getting super drunk smoking up and not bathing living in that place........

I was just thinking the same thing as I was on the Best Western website looking at the place.

it is well located though and that means everything with this type event.....no 1/2 hour drive to get into town for the event....you are there already!
