You can maintain your stock ride height by keeping the stock tire and wheel size combination. Mine is 27 inches, for example, and has been lowered an inch and a half using FRPP springs. When I get aftermarket wheels and tires, I am going from a 17" to an 18" wheel, so I'll compensate by getting tires an inch shorter. You can still lower the car and just get a fuzzy taller tire to keep your current ride height. Keep in mind if you do that, you may need to tweak your speedo (tuner, etc). Control arms, springs and tire width all make a difference in your hook.

I'd go with a deeper gear... maybe 4.10's if naturally aspirated, or 3.73's with forced induction. Aftermarket control arms to eliminate wheel hop, and a lightweight driveshaft with a loop just in case. Also, you should probably think about a clutch kit and flywheel for those hard launches with that manual tranny. Ford Racing makes great drag launching lowering springs, too. Try that for starters.

well, insted of replaceing the control arms you could just run a stiffer bushings for now, if moneys a prob. you could also run a drag launch kit in the rear with coilovers up front.then, you can adjust the ride hight in the nose. if you can only change one pair of control arms just do the lowers and run stiffer bushing up top. steeda has a set of weight jacker lower control arms. or call UPR there good and really fair priced. they could point you in the right set up and they deal a lot with drag raceing.

i hope these ideas helps some

yes.....rather than having a spring and shock setup like you have now...the shock is inside the spring...hence the name coilover.....and drag springs out back and lowering springs up front are good...make sure you get the right shocks to. i got a set of lakewood drag shocks with mine. 90/10 front and 50/50 rear and they seem to work great. ever since i took the air out of my bags out back the car really squats under hard launches. we will have to see the actual results friday tho
