Dustin lemme know bro. All i need from your car is a coil pack. It would only take about five minutes.

EARS: Dude Lemoore is in Cali like Dustin said about 5 hours north of San Dogg. Unless you drive like a girl its like 6 or 7.

Andy: No greg didnt do any of that. He just pulled a code out of it and ran i through the computer. And it said that #7 was miss firing. He was saying that the piston could be fuzzed which is where the gap between the piston rings kinda breaks off and starts building up on the side of the piston. But if that were the case i would have smoke and oil blow by etc. I cant remember how he said if its not blown i could blow it by driving it but that was one of his biggest concers. Not driving it at all. until i figure it out.

EARS: the Gen 1 cooling mod (which is what Jay posted) is about $120 and its pretty difficult to duplicate. I know of alot of people who have tried and failed. you have to make a part to tap into the back side of the block. Now there is a Gen 2 cooling mod whick just splices into the radiator hose and the coolant crossover back behind the supercharger. Big differences. Gen 1 which is the better of the two you have to pull the motor to install a Gen 2 still cools efficintley and you dont have to pull the motor.

Anyways anyone that wants to jump into this lemme know.

so the piston ring isn't broke because your engine isn't making noise and isn't smoking.. so its a minor missfire.. the engine isn't going to blow.. he is working in a shop and covering his ass.. thats all man.. if it was smoking and making noise there is a chance of the engine blowing...

think of it this way.. shane has been driving on 7 cylinders as long as i have known him...

and on another note.. if the piston is messed up and you fix the misfire by replacing a bad coil... you still could hurt it..

Yeah i see what your saying andy. but yeah i dont think that the piston is ****ed because of the no smoke thing. I really hope that it is something small for now. at least so i can save to just build the motor even stronger. I swear with all of the crap that has been going on with this car if i ever ran into the orriginal owner i would give him a piece of my mind!!!!!!!!

ya mine has always been a V7, i have one more test though to find out if its leaking from the rings or a valve though, but either way im f*cked

start a new thread and post your compression test results.. with the mileage you have it could be normal to have a 20 psi difference in one set cylinder

well i have come to the conclusion that it is not miss firing. i was ****ing around with the injectors last night doing voltage tests and such and once i unplug the one that is suposedley miss firing i get a code but if i clear it and leave it in no code. And if i unplug it the car starts running like **** and if i put it back in starts running fine again. So IDK but im ****in over this miss fire **** so im calling it good. I am wanting to get a dyno in to see what kind of power i am making and that will tell me if im on all cylinders or not.

Anyways now for the good news. after messing with the injectors all night i wanted to burn out some of the fuel that might have been in the cylinders so i took it around the block. While pulliing back into the garage i put in the clutch to slow down then let the clutch back out to pull forward a little more and then BOOM!!!!!!!!!!

Clutch cable snapped, quadrent fell apart and a couple bolts and screws fell out from under the car. I LOVE MY LUCK!!!!!!!!!!

oh and on the injector unpluging stuff.. the misfire monitor is ran on a non continous monitor.. but the injectors are allways watched thats why why it set a code right a way... doesnt been you not have a misfire its probalby just a idle issue that can be fixed with a tune

Whatever you do, DONT buy upr cable. I had two of them break, then eventually bought steeda when the free replacement broke too.

yeah i learned not to get things from upr. some good some bad but mostly cheap quality

So ill have the steeda cable on its way then an LDC clutch freeplay MOD on order today and see if that solves my clutch issues. then im about to pay Andy once i can start the car again and see if i can bring him to my car or bring my car to him and have him run a milti meter on it or some **** to see if we can find this miss fire
