So I checked into my command in June. Everyday while I am on my way to work this guy in a 99 Mercedes Vert, SLK Blah Blah Blah Something or another, is always in the same spot.....behind me on Nimitz BLVD. Well everyday we get to Harbor Dr. and turn left, he jumps on it in the middle lane and speeds by me... He is always at work talking about his (Cool Ride) and how fast it is....(You guys know the type) He also tells about how many mods and all that other crap that it has. Well, Last week, I decided enough was enough. As the light turned green, I started a little quicker then usual. He did his normal thing pulling into the middle lane to go around me. When his front was even with mine I actually got on it. I could hear his car screaming, that is when I shifted to second, at about 4500 RPM I let off due to his car now being seen in my rearview as he pulled in about 2 car lengths behind me.....I have not heard one word about his great awesome Mercedes. He has not asked whether I want to run him or anything. I think Samantha hurt his feelings. The best part was when I walked into the office and someone said" Hey I was coming in and saw your car walking away from "Vanilla Ice"(His nickname from those dear friends he has)" I said "Yeah" "I was tired of his crap." They all thanked me so they would no longer have to listen to him. I thought it was great. Not because of the car that mine beat but because of the EGO and PRIDE that was ruined. LOL
Oh yeah I have not seen him on the way to work anymore....Must be that he is altering his routine in case someone is trying to do surveillance on him. LMAO. Force Protection all the way right!
The thing is I did not even miss second gear this time........
