The one that got away
I was too late for this one. Was a California car all its life, still with original plates. It's going to Louisiana I believe. Would have been nice to keep it here.
The more I think about it though, I don't think I would've wanted to use that Saleen as a daily driver. It's just way too nice. I would've felt guilty about putting miles on it just like I do on my 93 SVT Cobra. Thats why I wanted a daily driver in the first place, so I can leave the collectibles under the cover and still drive a nice looking Fox body. I think I would've ended up in the same situation after spending $7500. In the end, I'm glad this worked out.

Picked up a few accessories for it. The car seems to have been modded a long time ago but still shows and drives pretty solid. This drivetrain actually pulls harder than my 93 Cobra. It must have gears in the rear. Speedo shows 80 mph when I'm actually doing about 65 mph.
Engine might be tired since I went through a quart of oil in 3 days/300 miles. A friend who was following me said a small puff of smoke comes out when I floor it. No big deal, I have a replacement 302 ready for the build ! :rock:
In the glovebox I found receipts for a clutch, flywheel and throwout bearing from 08/2008.
It currently has Cobra upper/lower intake, but not a fan of painted black, so...
And to give the interior something nice to look at while driving. From MPS Auto Salvage

Oh yeah, after I pulled plugs like this one, it runs ALOT better. Not to mention 4 of them were already loose!

The Surgery
.... will begin this week :rock:After drivign the car around for some time, I decided to jump the gun and pull the engine out this week. I have a 347 Stroker being built. I was gonna do this in about a couple of months, but... work is so slow, I found something to fill in some time with
epsi:In addition, while I'm working on this, as I wait for the repalcement engine I'm gonna do an engine swap on my friends 76 Cadillac El Dorado Convertible.
Thats gonna be a beeyotch! 500c.i. /8.1L engine!!!
