thinking of 410s again

I love them on my car na. How well would they do with me spraying. Making 390 hp and 457 trq. Could a 3.90 gear satisfy me? Also, im planning on running a supercharger in a year or two. or get the trickflow heads first. Either way i'll be 500+ next year. Or should I stick with the 373's i have now?

by the way. Im getting a daily driver soon. This will become 90% drag car. I'll still want to drive it on the street some. And I have a stock t45. I would love to eventually go to a t56. But thats too expensive.

You might as well go 4.10s if you are thinking 3.90s. Its both street driveable and good on the dragstrip. If you put 3.90s on, I know you wish you had put the 4.10s in.

if your gettn a blower,,, then i definately say the 410!!

especially if its a centry blower, those thing live in the higher rpms

yea 3.90s are fairly uncommon in a ford 8.8... more of an old mopar gear ration. But regardless I considered them heavily untill every singe reliable source I knew told my 4.10's.... especially since your thinking of a fun drag set up.

As for the transmission I say either a TKO or the T56 as a better option. But there are companies like Keisler, Pro-Motion or G-Force, Liberty, Astro Performance can build you a solid T45 transmission. What kind of torque are you thinking atlblue98gt?

What are you currently crossing the traps at? With what size tire? where does peak power drop off on your car? Do you run 1/8th or 1/4 or both? You need info for a decision like this. Don't just get 4.10's because they are 4.10's and it sounds cool. Get back to us with answers to the above questions.

You need to make sure the exact direction you're gonna take in the future, especially since you said the car will mainly be a track car. You can deal with too high of an rpm for street driving by lowering your speed................not so much fun running outta gear at the track!
With 500 RWHP at the track, with the properly set up car, can easily go mid 10s

its gonna be a 80 85% drag. Do you think 410 is too much for supercharger. or i MIGHT go turbo. Still debating.
