It has a picture of FORDS car in it without their permission....You did not know that it is Ford car and therefore you can not publish a picture of it without their permission......

Yeah pretty much. I will say that BMC is really buzzing about this. almost 500 posts in 1 day. over 11000 views for 1 thread!!!! Wow. Most are from guests. That means the word is getting out about this stuff to all the other clubs and such.

Bull Shit!!!!

Here is an E-mail that I sent Ford last night. I wanted to say more but the comment block was limited to 1000 characters....

I would just like to comment on how Ford Motor Company has been going after small business, clubs, and the like about using their name or pictures of their vehicles. This is not right. Im sure that some law on some piece of paper somewhere says that you can do this. And I know that these are not the most prosporous times Ford has ever experienced, but this is not the answer to your problems. You are shooting yourselves in the foot, especially when it comes to the loyalty that Mustang owners have for your company. I am quite sure that the profit that some of these people may be making from using the name Mustang on their company cannot even begin to compare to the profit you all recieve because those companies keep on putting out new and exciting products which in turn help you all to sell cars. I have proudly owned 4 Mustangs so far, also an Expedition and Explorer.I am speaking for many Mustang enthusiast and loyal Ford customers when I say this is wrong and it really angers me.

Here is the response I recieved in my inbow today......

Dear Joseph, Thank you for being a loyal and valued customer of Ford Motor Company. Ford is currently reviewing its enforcement practice regarding companies which have "Mustang" in their names, to determine what accommodation can be made which still allows Ford to protect its trademarks, which are among its most valuable assets. We hope you will appreciate that Ford can never compromise when it comes to keeping counterfeit parts and counterfeit part dealers out of the marketplace. It is vital to the value of our brand and the loyalty of our customers that all parts which bear Ford branding be legitimately authorized. Thank you for taking the time to express your views. Sincerely, JohnCustomer Relationship Center Ford Motor Company
