Time to start planning

as my V6 is fixed and back in cali time to start thinking about whats first (other than taking the motor our for inspection) as i will not drive it far, the knocking is so bad now i can hear it at idle. time and place to tear out the motor? any ideas?

Possible pull it out and tear it down after my 5.0 on wed? You wouldn't be able to leave them here though, but I'll definitely help pull and tear down the motor

well see i dont mind doing it at shanes but the problem of where to keep my car. 2. the hobby shop will charge me to keep it there and im not sure how long its gonna be down.

not when there is no time limit on how long it will be down... maybe you shouldnt take it apart till you have the money for machine work and parts

thats very true andy but i dont know what im going to need to get done you know. i know new pistons and rods for sure but i dont know if im going to need a crank also.

yes you will, either need it turned or a new one.. the last time i heard it... i would say a new one! just budget for it.. plan to buy a new one.. add it all up wait till you have the money call a couple machine shops budget for that as well then once you have the money pull the motors and take it in

2000 for new crank rods and pistons plus machining? what happen with that good short block?

you can come by this weekend and help with the cam install if you want.. im hoping they will be here friday B303 and new roller lifters!
