I will shoot more pics this weekend. Im going to the dragstrip today to see what my bone stock engine will do with nothing but suspension mods. I will clean her up and shoot some pics after that. Wish me luck.....

just an idea Joe.. I would remove the GT emblem on the fender... it seems to be throwing off the beautiful body lines.... those rims look killer... also remember those rims are probably heavier then stocks so don't be mad to run a slow time....plus its 100+ outside

Thanks Andy, I am still undecided as far as whether or not to keep the GT emblem but its going to stay ther for a little while. Maybe when I get my GT500 front bumper and have to do more painting I will make the final decision. As far as the track goes, I ran 15's all night. I just could not hook at all... I tried everything even traction control. My very last run I pulled off a 14.5 at 97mph. Not really excited about that, but It felt good after all those 15's I ran. Anyway If it would have been a few degrees cooler and I had slicks or drag radials I think for sure I would be well into the 13's.

My 60 foot's were between 2.4 and 2.5. i was spinning pretty much all the way through 1st gear. I tried to feather the gas and the clutch from high rpm's and low but as soon as I floored it I was just spinning the tires. On my 14.5 run though I basically punched it out of the hole let off for a second to get traction and then put it back down to the floor board. That seemed to work the best. I think if I had more time to practice launching like that I may have been able to shave a couple more tenths off my time.

are you using the water box joe? if so next time go around it then do a burn out away from the water... not trying to tell you how to drive but try this.... hold about 2500 to 3000 on the third yellow dump the clutch but DONT move the throttle... the tires should spin for a second then grab ... then easy to the floor... it works for me EVERYTIME! the hard part is not moving the gas pedal on the launch.. try it more then once, don't give up on my idea right away..

I dont use the water box. But, I will give that a try next time. That is, if I dont have slicks already... Thanks for the tip.
