yeah, you guys know. the usual midnight munchies. i mean, it's a nice night. seemed nothing like nothing special. just a usual drive, or so i thought. but i didn't even make it to taco bell, before i had to pull over and turn the hazards on.
something some of us stang drivers, or even car enthusiast in general might hate seeing... but, the time came for my mach. so, sitting there on the lonely road to taco bell, i whipped out my camera and took this pic:
yup, 49999 on the clock. seemed like yesterday, i bought her with mid 30's on her odometer... decided i couldn't go back... least not legally or responsibly... so i put her in drive and plunged on one more mile. pulled over again, and took this pic:
she made it to 50000... amazing. i may have not been there for the first 30 thousand miles of her life, but the last 20 or so have been a blast. not even a week after i bought her, i took her down to fun ford... where joe nearly shat his pants the first time he saw my mach. soon after that, i went to a cars in the park show in lemoore, where my mach took first place. w00t!
deciding i couldn't stay in one place for too long, as traffic would not like it if i do (nor chp), i drove a little bit further but decided to stop again... ANOTHER pic:
the FIRST step AFTER 50000... 50000.1... lol! crossed my fingers that nothing would happen after 50000 and nothing did... yet (knocks on wood). another .9 miles... pulled over again...
the FIRST mile after 50000. i have it on record. a small milestone for me and my mach. all on a seemingly usual trip to taco bell to satisfy my midnight munchies. never thought that this one trip would a milestone, but it was. and YES, i did make it to taco bell... and yes i did get my tacos. the mach is safely in the garage celebrating making it to 50000+ miles...
hopefully, i share another 50000+ with her as she's been a great car. :rock:
