It has to do with their viewer demographic, I have heard. More upscale, older audience.

We need a good automotive show here.

The only good ones are Pass Time and if your in the right mood, Pinks All Out.

Test Drive, Motortrend, and a few others are just paid advertisements.

How well it does of course depends on who they get for a host and co-hosts. What makes Top Gear so good now is that humor they apply to the show. And the BIG budget they get to destroy everything they get their hands on.

All the auto shows here try to be too hard core. They miss the point of the sport of driving great cars.

Tim Allen would be great in that spot. Heck, the should have AL from the old show as well. Jay?? I don't know. You have to make yourself look like an idiot from time to time and I do don't see him doing that.
