well no reason really, just do your research. Make sure the company is a good one...there are alot of crappy ones out there.....lots of horror stories about shippers. Anyway, the cost will be around 1000 to ship it with a cheaper company. Fuel isnt cheap. You could probably drive it for half the cost.

Dude I know you probably dont wanna move your own stuff but a made over 3 G's when I did my move myself. I bought a trailer, fixed it up and then sold it and made money on it when I sold it after getting here! I suggest you do that but either way.....good luck!

agreed, do the ditty move yourself. the cost will offset getting your car to the east coast. besides theres a paragraph in the dity move order about a family with two povs, i think if you do a ditty move they will transport one of them. but im not sure.

i know i would make money off a ditty move, but i dont have the energy to move all my stuff again. i am gonna make about 6k from ipac for moving, plus the partial dity of my stuff in the car.....thats enough for me and i dont have to hastle with packing and moving.

im still lookin at trailers for the car...does anyone know about registration and insurance requirements for a trailer?

tow dollys suck for backing up. it took me 1hr to back up 80 feet. dollys have 2 pivot points. the hitch and the car

Sik...that makes absolutely no sense. When the car is strapped to the dolly it becomes "one unit" with only one pivot point since the loaded tires are fixed to the dolly, unless you have a 2-piece car that pivots within itself ????

It may suck to back up, and 1 hour to back up sounds like a lack of experience issue. I would back up doubles and triples in a matter of minutes. Even the novice can back up a single or a dolly within minutes.

I think what he was meaning is that the pivot points are at the hitch ball, and then where the cars front tires sit on the dolly. Uhaul dolly's have a pivot point there too.

Yes they Do. The actual dolly itself has a pivot right where the tires strap in. I think on the U-Haul ones do that though.

no, the uhauls dollies strap the tires in tight, so the trailer and the car should be close to one unit. there might be a little play, but its not much. like i said, backing up is no issue. i can tow anything anywhere and not have a problem, right now i jsut gotta find a trailer i want. i dont like dollys perior. especially for long as long of a drive im taking. im just gonna budget in about 1000 for a decent trailer that i can tow it over with. there is plenty on CL tho, and i got a friend thats lookin to get rid of his and get a new one.
