tuner???

I have a SCT SF3 power flash tuner, and id like to use it but i have no idea what im doin. if i cant figure it out i wanna sell it and the msrp is $470 bucks but i would take $300. but if you know how to use one and would like to give me a hand i would really appreciate it! thanks

plug it in to your OBD 2 port under the dash and follow the steps on the screen... you cant really mess anything up... you also need to do this to make sure it is an unlocked device

Yup, plug it in under the dash turn car to the ON position but do not start it. It should power up on it's own. And then it should be a no brainer from there.

I'm not a smart man. But I have one too and it wasn't hard to figure out. Just plug it in and turn your key. Don't start your car though and follow the instructions.

i paid to have it with the car when i bought the car. and i was reading the manual online and it said to plug it into my computer first but i dont have the cable to do that for it. but yea ModularMuscle, if i can i can come down this weekend sometime. i need a location though

How old is your SCT. I saw that you needed to update it on line if it's older then a certen date. When I got mine it was already updated.

Dont get rid of the SCT, you'll need it when and if you get dyno tune most shops that i have looked at use the sct tuners.

it doesnt matter by pluging it in to the OBD2 port on the passenger side of the computer is the same as pluging it in to your computer

there's a computer in the passenger side of my car??? i did now know that. but as soon as i get 800 bucks im taking it to JBA to get it dyno tuned. when i called them they said that they were gunna give me another tuner with the dyno tune. i don't know why but that's what they said. I plan on being at the next race legal too. i wanna see what she runs.

no that was a typo... its the obd2 connect or DLC that should be on the passenger side!

It should only cost you about 300 to 400 for the tune from JBA seeing how you have the sct, why dont you go to barona? Race legal has seen better days. Hang with the cool kids.

hell i didnt know that either, 300 or 400 if i have my own tuner. sweet deal. shes not running right at all. need the tune before i run. i was mistaken also its an X3 not and SF3. how do i get a pic of my car as my signature like most of you guys have? i really wanna be an active member, so just lemme know what i can do! thanks

So i was talken to my buddy a little bit ago and we decided to just hook the tuner to my car and see what we could accomplish. turns out the reason it was running so rich is cause my o2 sensers were turned off or something along those lines. so we changed em and my service engine soon light went off. and it just happeneds to run a lil better. but she still need a dyno tune to squeeze out a few more horses!
