Uniform Question

HisPony

Wondering where I am!?!?
I am Retired Navy, E6

According to Regulations, when am I allowed to wear my Dress Blues?

I am looking way into the future when my daughter decides to get married.

I feel that I should wear a nice suit.

What if she asks me to wear my uniform?

Thanks in advance!!

dont think that would be problem with wearing it even though you are retired. It's not like some mastercheif will come out of the bushes and chew you out for wearing your uniform. just my .02 cents.

What I am looking for is if she asks and regs say no or if they say yes.

No offense, I am a real stickler for Navy Tradition and Protocal. This is one I can't find a true Black and White answer to.

I even have a CMC scratching his head on this one.

If some Master Chief tried to chew me out, trust me, first words out of my mouth are "Pi$$ up a rope"!

Retired/ Honorably,
You are in the reserves until age 65. Your "retirement pay" is actually a retainer for posible future service. Which means.... you are entitled to wear the uniform so long as you wear it according to current regs (including hair cut). The dress blue uniform is authorised for any and all "formal" occassions, I beleive a wedding falls under that category.
Hope this helps.

I kept my dress Border Patrol uniform even though I'm retired.

I plan on being BURIED in it...but no time soon I hope! LOL
