Well deployment is almost over #2 done this one was only a little over 7 months but it dragged more then the last one in 05-06 and that was 8 months! i guess its because we hardly hit any ports. i get off in Camp Pen on the 2nd my buddy is picking me up in my car so i get to drive down in her so thats awesome. reason so is because i have duty the same day the ship pulls in (second deployment in a row lol) but they are letting my duty section get off via LCU or LCAC so thats cool

LCAC sucks!!! hopefully you can go by LCU. slow but comfortable.

yeah ive been on both i love the speed of the lcac but the lcu is so much nicer lol

when we offloaded into Kuwait Naval Base we went by LCAC. there were 10 of us packed into those little rooms with all of our gear. flack weapon etc. we were so close our knees were in the persons nuts across from us. i dont know if it didnt have AC or it just wasnt working, but i have never been that hot in my life. it was like 150 degrees in there

kuwait has rough waters years round too so it was probably crazy it doesnt help either the lcac's do 55+kts which is like 65-70mph! lol imagine lcac passing you on the highway

that woudl be funny as hell. doesnt the skirt get jacked up after being on land for too long??

hell yeah but its like 10in+ thick ass rubber they could make it a good distance before that shit gives out
