Figured i'd post a thread showing my car. I'm a picture whore, so please bear with me.

Hell, im bored and its 1 am, so lets go through some history.
I am on mustang number 4, first was a 74 mustang II(my first car, please be gentle), second was an 85 GT T-top, third was a 94 cobra(more on that in a minute) and now my 89 LX Vert.
I come from a mustang family though, and as far back as i can remember my mom has owned 8 mustang(66, 68, 68, 69, 75, 85, 91, 01)

My first mustang that i did any modding was my 94 cobra

Forged 306 with GT40 heads, xcam, and all the bolt ons, including a kb 1.5

I got rid of that for an 04 lightning(so as you can see i am no rookie to fast fords)

When i bought her she had the 5 lug conversion with sn95 spindles, rotors and calipers, 17" bullits shod in 245 front and 275's rear. Rear end has 3.73's with an aurburn locker(rebuilt about 1500 ago with near bearings and gears) with ranger drums and yuokon shafts. She had a stock motor, with full exhaust(shorties, o/r h-pipe and 2.5" catback that is all MAC), CAI, and bbk throttle body. BBK springs and bbk control arms in the rear. Full length sub frames, and the cage.

I decided the stock motor wasnt going to cut it, but wasnt ready to go all out, so we did a mild build.
Started out with some parts i had laying around

block and crank ready to head to machine shop

Had it torque plate honed, aligned bored(030) and cleaned up. The crank is turned 010.

My heads and intake ready to get hot tanked and rebuilt.
GT-40 heads and explorer gt40 style intake.

Well the block came back from the machine shop, and i had a pile of parts ready for it(new timing cover, oil pump, timing chain, water pump, all new gaskets, and bearings, and a fresh out of the box E-cam)

I got the heads stripped down, they would eventually receive new TFS valve springs(after i put the motor together, because i am ****ing retarded) along with a 3 angle valve job and new seals

Next was the short block getting assembled and then bolting on the heads

my heater core was broken in the process of pulling the motor(never let a numb skulled friend remove old hoses, he was unaware that i was replacing them all)

so i got the joy of doing a heater core, took just over 5 hours

and an idle clip
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9px7DfLA3pg"]YouTube - MOV00335[/ame]

In the end, the car ended up with a new 306 with GT40 heads, explorer intake, 24lbers, 255 pump, c&L maf, BBK cai, BBK 65mm throttle body, march under drives, mac shorties, mac o/r hipe, mac 2.5" catback, center force clutch, 5 lug conversion, lowered, gears, locker, and some other crap i mentioned before. She needs some fine tuning. She likes to throw and EGR CEL because the eliminator i bought apparently doesnt work, the vibrations i mentioned earlier, she needs new shocks(on order) the gear set up isnt perfect and is going to need redone, and a host of interior bits that a 20 year old car is going to need replaced

and if anyone has some serious freetime, some other random vids of my old rigs

The old 5.0 thats now in the 68 came out of an SSP car right? It has the extra oil cooler between the filter and block.

factory hoses???? Are they special hoses?

I'm building a 347 for my 90 SSP and have the same cooler. Will I encounter a problem with the hoses?

if you look, they have some odd bends to clear moving parts. my ford parts department couldnt find replacements(the hoses had the part numbers, they were listed as discondtinued) its possible there are other replacements, but i wasnt worried about it. this motor is temporary. when i get back to washington im building a 408
