If it's worth less than $5k but they still gave him the $5k, it's called OVER ALLOWANCE. They allow him more than it's worth, then pad the profit on the sale of the purchase car. If they over allowed $3k in the trade, there was $3k additional profit in the new car they were willing to absorb, not including the profit they already made. All that profit, plus taxes/fees is ALL depreciation. In one way or another, the customer still pays for it.

On the other hand, That is a sweet car! I like the DSG in a vert.

As long as the buyer is happy, who cares????? Money is money,.....there's more coming on the next paycheck! Every payday!

Update:

Chance(Vanq) left San Diego this evening around 1800 for his cross country trek. He will be much safer and comfortable in his new Mustang. Let's wish him a safe journey and good luck in his new command.

He said he will be checking in every now and then on his way to Florida for a visit home then up to Virginia to meet his ship.
