Veterans Day Parade! 6 Nov.

Fighting Sailor

San Angelo TX
WickedStangs has been invited to participate in this Veterans day parade (invitation below). They have asked for 9 convertables for VIP's (including a Congressman and Pearl Harbor Survivors) and as many other cars as we wish.
Also F150 lightnings are wanted. There will be a park and show at the end of the parade route.
This is great exposure for the Club (and for you military guys a great bullet for your eval) Lets all get onboard with this one!

Veterans Elementary School in conjunction with Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station Navy and Marine Corps Intranet Detachment San Diego will be honoring our nation’s Veterans at the 4th Annual Veterans Day Parade. The parade will commence on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. on the corner of View Park Way and East Palomar Street in Chula Vista. The parade route will run from Magdalena Avenue to Santa Venetia Street, and conclude at Veterans Elementary School. There will be a ceremony recognizing veterans and military families following the parade.

We invite your participation as military personnel, city officials, community members, business members, schools, and residents of the Otay Ranch area to participate in this patriotic event. We hope you can join us in paying tribute to the men and women who have served our country as well as those currently on active duty. Please contact us for more detailed information. We look forward to your participation..

Great idea Steve, this should be good for all involved. As someone who sits ranking boards, it may not end up on your eval as a bullet, but it will give you some community service kind of thing to put on your bragsheet which in turn will help you in your rankings. Definately worth doing as it is supporting a great event.

Make sure everyone that goes is on their best behavior at an event such as this. Good press could easily turn bad into a black eye with 1 person doing something stupid. AKA: Dont pull a Pouya(Those that remember him know what I mean)

Steve, I moved it to the Endorsed Event section. As for me, I don't know if I can have the day off yet. I'll also attach an RSVP to your first post. If I can't go, I can lend my car out for parade. But let me know who will be driving it first.

Thanks for getting this out.

We can get a driver, but I hope you can come...
Everyone interested, RSVP soon so I can get a head count for the organizers.

Any info on the Park and Show?

We might be able to drop in for that.

Just a guess, but the show might be in the parking lot of the elementary school where the parade will conclude. I live by the school and they have a park there also. It's not big but decent size for a small park and show. I'm just making a guess there's where it will be held. Just a logical conclusion.

I am the second in charge and I had to take a day of leave to get the day off. I just hope my car is done by then.

Steve I went over and talked to/helped the builder yesterday and he said it is really going to be pushing it to have my car done by then. He said he would try but no promises. Also if my car is not done I could always bring the wifes.........
