Both are nice but everyone counts the Roush out just because it is less mentioned. I probably would have bet on the Saleen too, but Roush has a pretty damn good record on the tracks, both quarter mile and road tracks.
I just got off of the Roush page. The 427 is not a horsepower number but rather a tribute to the Original 427 race engine from Ford. The Roush comes with the 427R package this gives you a base of 435 horses and all the other Roush goodies. They just wanted to bring the number 427 back into the mustang world, as a sign of respect and to put fear back into anybody wanting to go against one. They have a point the 427 is a legendary engine. It is just the cars model number now!!!!
