so, i weighed my car empty yesterday because were moving......2,860lbs w/o me in it. is that good??

HOLY ****!!!! That is exactly what mine weighs W/O me in it!!! That's light, but remember I already have a 6pt roll bar(80lbs), 351w (100lbs), etc, but 2860lbs is definitely GOOD! Your car should haul ass!!! Borrow some tires from someone I want to see what that thing will do.

Actually, I want you to embarrass the sorry ass modular guys, lol!

Get the 90/10's from the race car as well. With the new suspension you could run 8.5's if we can get it dialed in. To get prepared for the race you will need to go out and mark your balancer, pull O2's and spout.

Clean the balancer with a wire wheel if you have to then get some white out and red nail polish from the wife. Get some masking tape. Put tape down on both sides of 28* & mark it with white out. When it dries pull the tape and repeat @ 30* with red nail polish and so on. Keep alternating color every 2*. Take it up to 34*.

What ignition do you have?

yeah, quick question though, how accurate is the scale when they weigh your car at the smog station? Oh, and if I don't run, you could borrow my slicks.

If you're wondering about finding an accurate scale, go to a brick yard or livestock feed stores, they are required to keep thier scales calibrated and certified.

BJ,

That's an awesome weight!

i went to the mayflower weigh station....they are pretty accurate. and thanks for the offer on slicks, but i think todd has some for me to use that night. i will get started next week on marking the balancer like you said bobby. i also have a fuel pressure gauge i got from ears, but i need an adapter to mount it on my line. that might help too right. and i will contact him about the 90/10's. also, i will get new spark plugs and gap them to .45. maybe a blaster coil if that will even help. i hope she runs 8.5's. my best run ever is an 8.7@80 at qualcomm with a full tank, full interior, and mt drag radials. since then i stripped the interior, and have new upper/lower control arms, battle boxes, subframes, and a few other mods. my best 60ft. is only 2.0 as well. maybe we can beat that too

You'll want at least 1/2 tank in there to help even the car out. Maybe even 3/4's. You must get a FP gauge otherwise it's useless. we have to know how much fuel your adjusting.

i will get it hooked up. i need a 4an female fitting for the gauge, to adapt into whatever the fuelline requires. i think its 1/4.
