I got some new toys.....
As most of you know I have a classic Mustang along with my 67. Well I have decided to go ahead and try to do the metalwork myself. Even if I mess up 15 times it is still cheaper than having a shop do it for me. So I needed some new items for the garage. I got the following items today....
A 20 Pound pressure Blaster
44 Pounds of Aluminum Oxide Blasting Abrasive
A new Auto Dimming Welding Helmet
A flourescent work light
A dual filter respirator
A plastic face shield
A 2 pack of flashlights
A 8 pack of Butt Weld clamps (the type that hold the panels .040 apart)
4 Six ton Jacks Stands that can elevate the car 24 inches in the air(That will make getting under it easier)
A 25 foot extension cord
10 Grinding wheels
New Leather welding gloves
A 2.2 gallon Wet/Dry Vacuum and Blower
I also got a few other small things too......
I have already tested the blaster really quickly...That thing is mean. My compressor can operate this one with no problems. It will strip down paint and rust quite quickly.
I will be starting to strip the engine bay first on Sunday. It will probably take all day to do but that is ok. I will have the toughest portion done.
Thanks for reading this post
