West 78 American Musclecar Shootout

I have been contacted about getting some Mustangs out to this event. I think that between all the SoCal Mustang Clubs, we can have a great showing!

On February 22nd 2009, Saturn of West 78 in Oceanside, California is hosting a FREE american car show event called the West 78 American Musclecar Shootout. ALL makes of american cars are welcome which include GTO's, Corvette's, Camaro's, Trans Am/Firedbirds and Mustangs.

The event will start at 2:00pm and will end at 9:00pm. There are allot of fantastic things going on with this event including cash prizes and give aways and I believe it will be worth it. A mobile dyno will be on hand for the shootout which winners will be awarded prizes according to class of car. A BBQ will be on hand which is free. The Red Cross Mobile Bloodbank will be on site along with Autotrader giving out free stuff. An all girl car wash is taking place as well. I will also have a few special guests appearing to speak (this one especially pertains to the GTO community). So with music, awesome cars, women and free food and dyno with prizes and giveaways. Could it get any better than that?

It most likely will be cold so bring a jacket and warm clothing. I need to know who is coming so I can start making arrangements for parking based on make and model of car. Spaces are limited.

A free car show. Every car in the club should be putting in for this one. This is one of those opportunities for us to take over SOCAl as the dominant mustang club. Since a DYNO is involved, I'm certain that STANGPEDE will be keeping their distance.

I will not be attending this one though......I cant. I have tickets to the Auto Club 500 in Fontana that day. Sorry.

I'm actually the one hosting the event. If you have any questions please feel free to post up and I will answer them as soon as possible.

I also wanted to point out the comment about it being a high crime area. It is a very low crime area and located right next to the Carlsbad Mall. It is a very nice, safe area.

Sign up is required. I need screen names along with make, model and year of the car your intending to bring. Spaces are limited to 200 cars for now. Right now, close to 80 cars are signed up.

This event is 100% free with the exception of the beer garden. You will have to pay for the beer. Cash prizes and giveaways will be plenty along with an awesome BBQ and all girl car wash. Multiple Sponsors and vendors will be at this event.

As the event date draws closer, full details will be given along with instructions. Lets make this event a great experience for everyone!
