Wet vs dry nitrous

can you answer my question.... would you run stock injectors on 8-9 lbs of boost??

compressed air just like a Blower or turbo... but do you run those on stock injectors... that is what this hole argument is about... you want to spray through your MAF and run stock injectors.. go head.. spray through your mass air and relying on that to do your nitrous tune is F U C k i N G retarded... if the MAF was that smart what is the point of tuning a car after any Modifcation......

Spray your dry nitrous throw your MAF is not right... My argument is he claims he ran MORE then 150 shot through his MAF with no tune and stock injectors... I CALL BS!

i upgraded to 24lb injectors to run a 150 and got it tuned and still had to run a bigger fuel pill than it called for to get a 150 shot.

yup you needed a tune because stock WOT a/f is 12.2-12.8... not a safe a/f with nitrous... it should be around a 11.5.. you should have went 30 or 42 lbs and tuned them down for the nitrous shot..

wait... why did you upgrade your injectors for a wet shot??

found a good deal on them and just upgraded because i had cams and other bolt ons at the time way before i decided to go nitrous

if it is 75 to the wheels its a 75 shot... that is how the shots are figured out... lol

Sorry that is not how nitrous if figured out...
It is all dependent on your Fuel Pressure/Nitrous Bottle Pressure/Nitrous Jet Size.. That is why HP various alot with nitrous... Alot of people always think the same thing...

no **** it depends on bottle pressure fuel pressure and jet sizes... thats what makes nitrous work... thats why a 50 shot on a carb setup doesnt have the same jet sizes as a Fuel injection set up

that makes no sense... why call it a 50 shot if its a 75.... think about it....

Exactly... That how they get you... You buy a 75 shot but, they don't tell you have to your bottle pressure exactly at 1000psi and your fuel pressure at 45 psi and your injector size .34.. member this is an example my example is for predicted 52HP

Guys buy nitrous and say they have a 75shot but, they bottle pressure is at 800psi / fuel pressure is lower so there getting less.

They sell size jets which should give you the estimate HP you want...

And you don't have to get upset. These forums are for helping members...

FYI: NX (Nitrous Express) is one, if not the only company that rates their kits at the rear wheels and not just some guesstimate on a jet size. Trickflow kits are also made by NX.

the reason for tuning on nitrous is to make sure your jetting is right for the shot you want! what do you really think the point of calling it a 100 shot is then? that's way jets aren't marked by shot but by size so you can make any shot you want. So when he said a 50 shot is a 75 shot on a cobra...thats the dumbest thing i have heard since spraying through the MAF! if it makes 75 WHP more then motor tune pass, it makes it a 75 shot!

whether your right or not... it doesn't matter what they say the shot size is really, if it makes 75 hp to the wheels its a 75 shot in my book!
