So the wife and I have been looking for a new SUV..... She does not want to go up to an Expedition or Tahoe. She would like a Mid Size like the Explorer or the Trailblazer..... Well I got a line on a new 2007 Trailblazer SS. It would be just over 31K......That is after the 3K rebate out there right now. Then there is another that is 32K but it is an 08 and that is also after the rebate......As far as the Explorers we have yet to find quite as good of deal. The TBSS has 400 HP and some upgrades. The Explorer would have only the 4.6 like my Mustang.

Would you all hate me if I bought a TBSS? It is almost SRB timeframe so I am starting to look now.

explorer! Can seat 7 has the awesome 4.6... also fully independent Suspension... Perfect in a 4 wheel drive to.... I jumped my 01 V6 4.0 about 6 feet in the air and never had one problem with it!

the trailblazer SS is an awesome machine. i love them, terrible on gas tho, and the trans sucks. if you want fast suv go for jeep SRT-8. that thing hauls. sorry machman, but i have had nothing but bad experiances with exploders. i had one die on me durring my drivers test when i was 16 and that was only the begining. but gibs, for a good al around SUV check out the GMC acadia. those are awesome. only has a 260hp 3.6, not very fast, but extremely comfy and seats 7. and they look better than 90% of suv's on the road. just my $.02

they are nice, but for a cross over its not great...24/17, but its really heavy. but its still better than most real suv's. the big ass acadia only gets 22/16

Hey I looked at the Edge myself. I was not impressed with the interior. Also if it is loaded then you are going to spend the same as the Explorer. If anyone needs an x plan I can give you the link. We currently have an 05 Santa Fe with 28K on it. So we really do not need a new car but....It only has the 2.7 L engine so there lies the issue. She wants more power.......It is AWD and I want that in whatever we decide to get. The TB SS has the 6.0L, 4 Speed Auto, 4.10 gears, AWD, upgraded brakes, Heavy Duty Tranny, Air ride rear end. The brakes and air ride will help with towing the Stang when needed. Anyway, we went to Carmax today to look at SUV's. They had an 04 Durango Limited w a Hemi. It was sharp and had under 30K on it. It was listed at 17.9K Not bad and it was in great condition. Well I still have some time before I need to make my decision, so I am still open to opinions. Thanks guys.

dodges are cheap.....stick with the SS or Jeep if you want raw power.....but drive the SS first, you may not like the tranny.

stay away from trailblazer when i wqorked at a dealership they always had problems with the tranny also gas mileage sucks badly. if you want a good deal wait till ford has there 0 for 72 going on memorial day weekend

im not brand specific. i just like quality built vehicles. the escape i do not believe to be one of them, although ford has been hitting it out of the park with their new cars/trucks. the edge is awesome
