What to do about a questionable meember?

At our car show that we just had sunday we had a problem. This car show was hosted by advanced, one of our spponsors, and it was put on by wicked stangs sc chapter. We had a paying member, that is also a vice president of another local mustang club, handing out cards talking about his club at our events. We're gonna talk to the guy about this so it dont happen again. But if it happens again, should we ban him or what? This is another reason we need a copy of the bylaws that yall use in california or other places, to have a platform to refine for our chapter. Thanks

another questionable member?

I need to hear some other views. This member continues to bash other members and question EVERYTHING the club does, rather it be right or wrong. Shows up to events wearing a shirts from other clubs. This member start the only drama we have in the whole club. Will post events that pry other members to choose to follow ws or do what hes doing with another club. Some of the members want him banned. I dont know what to do than just sending him a stern pm. This is another reason we need a copy of the bylaws that yall use in california or other places, to have a platform to refine for our chapter. Thanks

Bryan you have 2 options:
1 ban him from the site.
2. Just ask him to stop.

And about the bylaws they should be complete real soon. I will get you guys a copy..

Sounds like if he likes the other clubs so much better, let him be one of THEIR members. Your concerns are good ones! Good job noticing this type of thing and trying to resolve it! Keep up the good work!

I dont think you can stop him from handing out business cards at your event unless you own the property the event is held on. I think your best bet is to talk to him and tell him you disapprove of his actions. For the Central Valley, I put together a binder with our clubs mission and other rules and info. I have each member read it and then sign a form I made up. I will have to look for my electronic copys of those items and I will send them to ya.

ive talked with those member more then a few times and it keeps happening so i think we need to take care of it. im not one to just kick people out but i would rather lose 1 or2 then 20.

I believe as a moderator, you have that authority to ban the member. Am I correct on this , Emilio?

But I believe with this member you have given he/she enough opportunity to ceist his actions and his actions is detrimental to the reputation and the moral of this club then that is a bannable action.

Yes moderators have the ability to ban.

Let me take a wild guess as to who you guys are talking about... Give me a minute.

Is it bonesgt?
He posted an event the same day as our meeting, but I talked to him one on one and hes gonna let events pass through me the next time. He hasnt done it since then. I corrected him before it got out of hand. The one passing out member cards is papa's stang. Which is the vp of umc. Another local group which weve parted ways with.

the other member is snowman03gt. I think we should let him know his actions are not allowed and if they dont stop we will have to ban him. Maybe put him on a probation period. Can we set up we he can view the boards but not make a post for a week? Then review him again?

If you tried and he continues. Well, sounds like he will need to be banned or at the very least on probation. Can you tell us what he did, is it the FS thing or something else?
