even if it is rated 150+, all it takes is a just a little nail, rock, glass, or whatever to punch a pin hole in the tire.....well, you know. I think what we are trying to say is, be careful. Have fun, but be smart about it. The freeway is not a good place to speed race, take it to a track and you can run all out, safely. From your posts, looks like you already have a few close calls, those close calls will eventually catch up and it will be cash in time.

We don't want to lose a fellow mustang enthusiast when it doesn't need to happen. Be careful and think before doing. You will live longer and create havoc on your kids and grandkids. :D

i somewhat agree, but i've seen too many people turn their heads the other way and too many things go wrong because of it. if i think that what someone is doing is wrong, i'll be as blunt to you about it as i can be.

but if he won't listen and wants to end his life so badly, not much i can do... i said my thoughts.

Hell I dont even know what mine goes up to.....BRB 160 and it will never see it as long as I own the car.

99-04's were the same. cruising down the 99, i hit 115 on stretches, but consistently stayed at 113... that was one time LONG ago though, to see where my old 6 topped out at. i'm not even gonna try and top out my mach. :lol: :eek:

p.s.

v6 speedos go up to 120. for him to hit 125, yeah... that'd only be a guess...

also, driving the mach home threw me off BIG time. where 60 was on the v6, it was 80 on the mach. i got so comfortable with there the needle was on the 6 that i didn't look down to see my mph cause i could tell just by where the needle was. when i did that in the mach, i was like HOLY SH*T, i'm going faster than what i wanted too. :lol:

i used to have cobra gauges on it that read 160, but they were off by like 20 so i whent and got the original ones off another stang and they are dead accurate

Hell just the unexpected cutting out from reaching the governer in some case could send the car outta control. I remember the first time I hit a limiter I thought I blew the car up lol.

post up on V6power.net those guys can give all kinds of advice on mods for your Sixer. turn your car into a sleeper if you can afford it.... just a heads up, it gets expensive quick

i call bullsh!t. post pics of the tires numbers and ratings. your got some 225/25/16s or something on that. doubt they are even z rated. a v6 is not a race car, its a daily driver. i wont knock going fast, ive done deep in the triple digits on my bike and 140-150 in my car. but my car also has shocks, struts, subframes, sway bars, upper and lower control arms, bushings, etc. oh and BRAKES!. even with all that 150 was a bad idea. 120-130 in a sn95 v6 is like speeding in a chrysler sebring.

120? i top out 3rd gear at 120. if you whan't to go faster ditch 6 and buy at least a gt. BUT, you have to have keep your right foot on a short leash. it's hard some time i know. thats why i've made my cruise control my best friend.

oh, dooing 140-150 is just as bad as street racing. and going that fast or faster on a bike is down right stupid.
