I don't make new year resolution anymore. I break them all within the first couple of days. Only thing I'll say is I'll continue to work on bettering myself as a person and continue learning.

Retiring E-6 is very respectable, mainly I want to do a few more years... I love the Navy and hate to leave it at 20...

Navy was all I knew, joined at 18 retired at 38.

Joined at 17 and went to bootcamp the day after HS graduation. Would have had my 20 in 2007.
I have a love/hate relationship with the Navy and I cannot wait to retire at 20. As for a new years res.... I dont have one either. I plan to just continue trying to better myself both personally and professionally. And I am starting my preparations for retirement now, even though I still have 7 to go. I hope to retire as a Chief but at this point in my life I am looking forward to bigger and better things so it will not be the end of the world if I do not.

Resolutions 2009
I no longer make a list of resolutions. They are usually, lose weight blah, blah.
Many years ago a dear friend of mine told me he chooses a word to live by. Like....eloquence, elegance, freedom, anger management, forgiving, kind....You get it.
So he would practice all year and keep note of how he did.
I haven't chosen my 'word' yet.
Let you know.

I would be happy going into the 7's in 1/8th mile such as a 7.5 by the end of the year
to start working out regularily which i have been good abotu so far even on leave lol! also going to try to stop drinking period
