I got a ticket when I was 17 (iirc?) for going 105 in a 55mph in the oncoming lane towards a CHP unit racing (and beating) and newer maro in my mom's 98 Mark VIII. This was back around 1999. It was on the way to the races at Famoso Raceway lol. It came with a mandatory court appearance in Modesto, (if none of you are familiar very hispanic oriented area).

Weeks later I appeared in court, there was an old white judge who was calling all the cases one at a time, and almost everything before I was up was a criminal case and did not have to do with traffic violations, almost everyone was hispanic and there were some pretty serious crimes in there as well. When I was called the judge had a stunned look to begin with while reading the papers, then he asked me whose vehicle I was driving recklessly like that. I answered my mothers. He laughed for a second and then said and I quote "You know there's a song that says your gonna drive your parents to drinkin' if you don't stop driving that hot rod Lincoln?". I replied "I know it very well, it's by Johhny Cash". He laughed some more and looked very surprised, then said "pay the desk up front $3xx dollars and be on your way". I was so relieved I still had my license. He seemed to be very harsh towards the other cases and very lenient towards mine?

Wow... some really great stories... CRIMINALS!! LOL

I behave myself these days, I seem to have an extra sense about where the cops are.

Because I drive an older 98 Cobra, I get pulled over often by Oceanside PD thinking I am some young kid. They like to write me fix it tickets. But I had a pretty funny thing happen about a year ago. Not so funny at the time.

They have been consistently pulling me over and so I'm going down hwy 76 and see a motorcycle cop going the opposite way cross the DIRT medium to come after me. I knew he was just coming after me to write me another money making ticket. I said screw this, if I am getting written up again, I going to make him earn it.

Now, my exhaust is average loud for a Mustang at idle, but when you step on it hard it really gets loud. This cop is behind me now at the light, RIGHT off my back bumper, I know he is going to light me up, so when the light turns green I rev the hell out the motor and about blew his helmet off. Sure enough he pulls me over and writes me the ticket. Pissed as hell. I am laughing at him.

I decide to go to court and try to fight this ticket. The exhaust is suppose to be street legal and Mac gave me a letter with the DB rating Etc. So the cop shows up and we both get up there and I get to question him. I pretend the exhaust is quiet and how I have this letter and how wrong he is. How he is not trained in know how to judge sound etc etc. I drill him pretty hard and he finally gets flustrated and explodes saying "it was so loud it almost blew my head off and made my ears ring". He went off ranting and everyone in the court room laughed at him, including me. You could tell he was embarrassed. In the end I lost and had to pay like $300, but it was so worth it. Now I just worry about running across him again. I will be lucky to stay out of jail.
