Wheels and Tires for a "67

I'm buying new rims and rubber.
I want to go as wide as possible without looking like an idiot
I want to stay within the wheelwell

With a stock axle/rotor setup,
what size rims can I fit?

I was looking at some 17X9s but I'm pretty sure they'll stick out about 2"

Also, can the fronts be as wide?

Ask a wheel and tire expert (I am not an expert) what the offset should be for a '67 with the width of tire you want. They can tell you which wheel will work best.

you can run 17 x 9.5's easy in a 67 with 5.75 backspacing in the rear and it will tuck in the fender! the fronts you can't go any wider than a 8" wide rim with 4.5 backspacing.

I have a set of 17X9s so I obviously can't use them
Unless I get replacements for the fronts
