maverick169v said:sorry man i totally disagree. ive seen a stock evo run an 8.50 to 8.70. new blackstallion on street tires before nos and **** ran high 8s so there is that. and so what if its forced induction. you gonna buy a 4.6 or a 5.4 cobra say you cant compare to a like priced import because it has forced induction? its a 2.0liter to a 4.6 or a 5.4 is going to be there argument.
take away forced induction, sorry bro, the f-body stock for stock is faster. if you want to compare naturally aspirated v8s. my buddys ta has a tune, heads, cams and exhaust and makes 447rwhp. my blown gt on a race tune barely breaks 400. im just being realistic man.
on a tune, pulleys and cai, 30hp?i doubt it. not saying it isnt possible just that it isnt common. someone post a dyno sheet with 330rwhp with a cai, pulleys and tune, with NOTHING else and i will take it back.
an m3 will beat a new edge, so will an m5 and as far as the bigger cars, i raced a 7series alpine on my bike, my bike. and from 100-160 he didnt get shook by my boys cbr rc-51 until about 160. i lost him around 140 and i was a little behind but dude, that 7 series, heavy or not is insane fast. probably just as fast as my blown gt. and ive got a decent amount of work done.
i know all about forced induction, ive got a 9lb kenne bell set up on mine. especially a 2v mustang, if you dont have forced induction your a small fish in a big pond.
i love stangs as much as the next guys. but guys who cant "keep **** in perspective" that run around in mildly bolted on stangs thinking they can take on the world is why a lot of people think mustangs are a joke. cause they dont race me, or yosemidy, or vp, or emilio or people with serious cars. they race young guys who just got their car and are a little over zealous. they beat the young guy because his car is a project thats just starting and because of all the trash that young guy talks, they stereotype us all. my car is fast, my car is real fast, and i still try to keep trash talking to minimum, try to stay underrated if im planning to race, and pick my fights wisely.

maverick169v said:sorry man not true. the max i can run is around 10-12 lbs of boost. i would say 401 at 9 lbs would put me in the neighborhood of 450 with 12lb, if not higher. it doesnt need heads nearly as bad as it needs forged internals to take the boost. again another shortfall of the mustang, junk ass internals with exception of a terminator.
again, playing the devils advoctate here, your saying that the mustang trumps all but only if you compare it to another naturally aspirated 4.6 litre. also my car runs 3 tenths of a second faster with us both on slicks also bringing up a fast car is more than horsepower. and as far as a different level, or a replacement for displacement. correct me if im wrong, but bigger displacement burns more fuel and more air? kind of like big injectors and forced induction.
maverick169v said:man i have to address it in bullets.lol. here goes. sure four valve heads are better than two, they flow more air, thats obvious. do i beat up on four valves, yeah. i could beat an na cobra before i put on my forced induction. hp isnt everything. drag racing its very little. there is guys on modular depot with less than 300hp running mid to low 11s. i didnt believe til i saw slips.
and again with beating the t/a again hp isnt everything. for one being boosted i generate power much quicker than his pushrod 350. 2nd i have a better clutch, we both have 3.73s, he has a stick, my buddies 480hp z28 with an auto and torque converter is still a tenth slower than me. ive got a solid drivetrain and a decent amount of suspension work. i get power quick and i get it all to the ground faster. another reason lower hp cars are faster sometimes.
this day and age bigger cubes is more power, thats why z06s are 7 liters and vipers are 8liters. thats why the cobra is 5.4, the ford gt 5.4, the c6 6.2 . displacement makes power. so does boost. boost in my opinion is superior.
not taking a ricer point of view so i will make an american comparison. you go out and you buy a big daddy 5.4, all motor, you top this thing out, you get the heads done, big cams, huge injectors, compression through the roof. you make high 4s, maybe 500hp. i build a bullet proof 4.6 and crank the boost up to about 18lbs. make 500-600 hp. my power band is so steep it looks like a wall. its all which route you decide to take. if you go all motor, or all suspension and you get your ass whipped by a different set up, you got beat.
hey just my opinion. which that with a $1.50 should get you a cup of coffee.

maverick169v said:my car is so much faster than vps i get out and push it through turns just to make it fair enough that he wont quit. its pathetic. his car is so old i saw it in the classic section of auto trader between bjs fox and a dinosaur.
