i think the 15x8 is big enough, there is no need to put monster slicks on it.

15 X 10 is the way to go if we are buying new rims. I would have waited for the five lug conversion and new axles that we'll need eventually, but who am I?

Be constructive,,, I can tell you don't race much.. Companies are out there making 4 lug stuff that will hold up, the only reason you go to 5 lugs is for better looking wheel selections.. We are not looking to run a pretty rim...

I also say 15x10's. When I had 15x8's they looked weak as hell from behind the car. Functionally you have a better selection of tires that will put more meat on the ground. Everyone is always crying about traction and hooking up so why not go with the best option for those things the first go around? 15x8's are for beginners like 02GT. :)

I agree 15x10.... what ever tire you have on the 8 now will fit the 10... its pointless to go 8 when these cars are ass light as it is... And i believe the stock rim if they are ten holes are only 7 inch wide???

you dont need a mini tube for 10 inch rims

Ok, let me see if I can explain this...All don't get Drag Tires confused with street tires... Remember Drag Tire fit smaller.

Rear -15x8 5.5 bs minimal to no caliper grinding. U Want to use a 26x10 ET Drag depending on gear ratio and power.
(NMRA PURE STREET and REAL STREET biggest tire is a 26X10 ET Drag and they are running 9s and 10s all day long)

Example:
26 X 10 is like a 275 size tire and will fit a 15x8in rim
28 X 10 is also like a 275 size tire but, with about 4in of Sidewall more winkle less trap speed and will still fit a 15x8in rim

i understand they run 8 and 9's on a 10 inch tire.. but they also have 2,000 dollar suspension setups and there mostly boosted cars that have the boost coming on very soft then hard after about the 330....

also that silver car has one hell of a deap dish rim for it to only be a 8 inch rim

Thank you for all the wonderful information.....NOW go and get the 10" wheels and get it over with. As far as 4 vs. 5 lug. Eventurally the HP of the car will exceed the 28 spline axle and possibly the 8.8 rear end. I guess we can purchase the 5lug when we put in the 9" rear end to support the huge axles to support the 1200 HP. Muuuuhaaaaa!!!!

Well since Emilio hasn't updated this info here goes..........The summit 4 lug wheels are not made in a 15x10. They only make 15x8's in the 4 lug.

Do we know if the rearend on the race car is set up for 28 spline? If so, my sale on my 5 lug 28 spline axles fell through because the idiot thought they were Mosers.

Anyway we could use the 5 lug 28 spline axles that I have and then get the bigger 15x10 wheels. Only problem is I can't afford to just give these away, but I would sell them at a discount for $100. These axles were $400 and I pressed 3" studs in them already.

Also these are drum brake axles and I don't know if they will work with disc brakes. Maybe someone can research that?

I still have a brand new set of axles in the garage that came out of a 2002 GT. I can and will give them to the race car for free. That way you can still sell yours and get mo money Bobby!!!!

That would make sense. if they were the same length then noone would be running 4 lugs. If the Race car has an 8.8 I thought they would work. They have literally the amount of miles it took me to get it from the dealership to the shop to get my rear end built. I got the rear end fixed under warranty and they replaced everything but I wanted it bullet proof.
