Wondering where I am!?!?
Emilio,

They are kids, crap will happen!

Man, I busted myself up so much growing up I thought my Mother was going to lock me in the house.

Glad everything is cool, remember, kids bounce back like I wish I could after hitting the ground after a few beers!!

Thats terrible Emilio. The important thing is he is ok. I understand though. Every time my kid falls or something my heart seriously skips a couple of beats. Its crazy.

Seems like every dad has to go through their moment. I remember giving my son CPR when he almost drowned in a pool at age 3. It's those moments in life that give us the chance to reflect on all the goodness we have and be thankful for our little monsters.

Well Balboa called today and after a senior Med Officer evaluating the x-rays they want to put a cast on her hand for 2 weeks. Looks like another long night in the hospital.

Why ya treat me like that?
All, I had the worst feeling in the world today.. I took my son to school and he was running and triped and fell down and hit his head. He started crying and me being a dad said get up and stop crying. As I was picking him up from the floor he stopped crying and began to shake alot, Well he was really hurt he went into shock and had a convulsion. Man I thought for a minute I lost my son... About 10 seconds past and he comes too. All the teacher were there to help and my son and I were rushed in the Ambulance to Balboa.. We stayed there for a couple of hours and finally released.. He is back to himself and still wanting to run and play.. Man this is the worst feeling for a New Dad as myself....I understand when they say there is more to come...:( Everyone go out and hug your son or daughter today..

Emilio,
I am very sorry for your son's injury and for your fright and fear.

I do not have children but I do know what you have been experiencing emotionally. To have our loved one's, be it blood family, a close friend, a pet, injured is overwhelming, to say the least.

I am very happy that you were there for your son. He is very, very fortunate to have you for his Father, and for you to have a son you love and care for. There are those who have had, nor now have, a loving person to help them up when they fall, literally, and figuratively.

I am happy to hear he is, at present, doing well. Remember, children are far more resilient than a 'grown up' human being. (I know that doesn't help you at this moment but it is true.)

If there is anything I can do for you, your son, or your family please call on me. I am always available to help. Seriously.
My best and highest regards to you, your son, and all of your family,

Lucinda

P.S. I have had 5 very severe concussions so my sympathy is quite genuine.
