For a stock style set up I would go with the TFS stage 1 or the E-303. Stay away from any of the other alphabet cams. They will both give you that aggressive sound you speak of, exhaust willing.

I was thinking budget minded here. Either one of those will be fine with those heads. I agree with Emilio, when you do upgrade make sure that whatever you run will be for a long time and then go custom.

ok,i picked up both cams and some solid motor mounts for 108.00

a friend wants teh cam i am not going to use but told me to sell him the xcam he said he would give me 75.00 for the x. so i spent next to nothing for my parts.

.... I hated the x303, I had it on a 306 build with w. senior heads and the car was okay at top end but i believe one of the best ford cams is the F303, It has nice low to mid range but doesnt take away to much from the top end.

the X303 is a good cam... you had to big of heads for a car to make good low end power... it sounds like you had more of a high RPM setup! the Seniors have what a 205cc intake runner... to big to have high velocity at low RPM on a N/A setup
