The crowd was yelling "do a burn out, do a burn out!" Tempting, but I dont think we'd be invited back ever again.... I was reving up the whole route, and they loved it. The Miata ahead of me did a rev, I don't think anyone noticed...

I thought it was funny when they put the Sherriff in the Miata!! He didn't look to happy about that with all of the muscle cars around

It was a great time. Had fun with the rider I got. There were quite a few people along the route. I believe their estimate was around 15,000 people this year. It took almost 2 hours for our group to start and there were 2 more groups after ours. For Wickedstangs, we had 13 cars total for this event. Nice showing guys and gals.

Yosi....Hope you and Jr is feeling better. There are plenty of other events to be involved in.

Wondering where I am!?!?
Just got a call from Sonya of the Assisted Living place that brought the Monte Vista Vets. She wants to pass on a BIG Thank You to those of us that gave "Her guys" a ride in the parade. She said they are telling everyone who will listen about the parade!!

We talked about WS maybe hooking up with them next year as drivers for them so they don't have to wait around all morning hoping to get rides.

What you guys and gals think? I think it's a good idea!! No rush, we still have a year to figure it out.


HP2 and I are heading up there Saturday because we took off with her car magnets :nonono:

They were on the passenger side so when we got in our cars we didn't notice them on there until HP2 drove up beside me on my way to the Exchange!

Hey, they got free advertising to Imperial Beach!!! :rofl:

Sonya is laughing because they stayed on the cars at 80 :rofl: So just did a little wind testing also!

That's what I was thinking. I was also thinking of an announcement the "Monte Vista Vet's escorted by WickedStangs". Then I thought better of it, it's their parade and I don't want to take that away from them.

Only prob is any WS convertable that shows, they want for VIP's. Again, lot's of time to plan! This was our first downtown parade and we have all year to figure it out.

I really had a good time. My first round I didn't have a passenger, but everyone got excited about the car, but my second round was fun with my rider :)
