Redoing the 89 LX Coupe

Well after buying it and then buying another and then selling her and then buying her back and then wanting to sell her again I finally said enough is enough lol. I am keeping her and I am going to get her on the road and try and look good while doing it. I bought a complete titanium grey interior swap to replace the "porno red" interior that was spray painted black and cracked everywhere.

I am unsure (and trying to figure out what these go to)

Then I installed the back glass that it needed after my failed attempt of removing the back glass a year ago.

Then I brought it to toms house and we switched rears and he went to drums and I went to 4 wheel disc.

And then I coated the fender wells with 3M textured undercoating.

And then it was off to the body :smash:
Bought the paint and supplies needed to tackle the job.

I have already sprayed the fenders but they are in toms garage at the moment so I can get all the door jams and a little behind the fender for a nice touch. I will be doing the doors and jams, hood and bumpers tomorrow. I want to thank tom for allowing me to work on the car at his place and answering my 1,000,000 questions that I have. He even know why the sky was blue and where babies came from.

I have all new molding and weatherstripping for the car that is going on once she gets completely painted. Tom has 650,000.00 in parts from summit to make his car go fast and I have all my money tied up in latemodelrestoration to make it look normal lol. I will try and actually take pics on the progress of the car but it seems like every second of the day is tied up behind a sander or a block lol.

Special thanks to tom for all his help

Well after swearing to never use my military star card again and pay that sucka off, I broke down and bought this after getting it on sale + 10% off and free shipping and tax free. It should fit well in the car but I think I am going to have to reverse how its going to go (flip the radio pate) so it is on the bottom. I was worried about it clearing the A/C controls.

I bought it so I can display this lol

That coupe is really coming along. Tommy is a great guy and his place in paradise is perfect for projects. Keep us posted and let us know when you'll be at the hobby shop again if you need some assistance.
