01 Cobra vert wanted to play...

On the way back home from the gas station the other day on Black Mountain Rd, a white 01 Cobra vert pulled up next to me at the light, he give me the nod, (you know the one I mean), so the light dropped and off we went, pretty close through out 1st, hit 2nd with and the traction light comes on, got hooked back up with the pavement and I start pulling away, hit 3rd and was 1/2 a car length ahead and pulling. We both let off before shifting to 4th. I know that the 01 Cobras aren't supercharged, but I didn't think I was going to beat him, but then again I do have 3.73's. All and all made my day, shows how much Ford underrated the Bullitts...:bo:

i def give bullitts cred. they were underrated and if i couldn't pick up a cobra the bullitt was my other option. i'd still like to pick one up one day.

I'm not trying to ruffle any 01 cobra drivers feathers, but I read that Ford underrated the Bullitt at 265bhp b/c they didn't want to piss off the 01 cobra owners, which were rated at 320bhp. Later Ford came out and said the the Bullitts were rated at 275bhp underrating them once again. Most dynos show the stock Bullitts at around 295bhp...
